"This BMJ article provides clinical guidance for UK doctors on managing suspected cases of the 2026 Bundibugyo Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. As of 27 May, over 1,200 cases and 250 deaths had been reported; WHO declared a PHEIC on 17 May. No licensed vaccine exists for the Bundibugyo strain. Treatment includes supportive care, remdesivir, and monoclonal antibodies in clinical trials. Risk to the UK is very low."
