"The WHO R&D Blueprint Technical Advisory Group met on 20 and 26 May 2026 to prioritize candidate therapeutics for Bundibugyo virus disease (BVD) during the ongoing PHEIC. They evaluated remdesivir, obeldesivir, MBP-134, maftivimab, and Inmazeb. MBP-134, maftivimab, and remdesivir were prioritized for clinical trials, including combination therapy. Obeldesivir was prioritized for post-exposure prophylaxis. Decisions were based on preclinical efficacy, safety data, and experience with other filoviruses."
