"Africa CDC has declared an Ebola outbreak in DR Congo's eastern Ituri province, with 246 cases and 80 deaths, mainly in gold-mining towns Mongwalu and Rwampara. One imported case has been confirmed in Uganda. Preliminary tests by INRB detected the virus in 13 of 20 samples. Africa CDC expressed concern over urban settings and mining activities. DR Congo government has not yet officially declared the outbreak. This is the 17th Ebola outbreak in the country."
