"The World Health Organization has released a situation update on the Ebola disease outbreak caused by Bundibugyo virus in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. As of the latest report, there are 83 confirmed cases and 9 deaths. The outbreak is being monitored closely, with response activities ongoing. This is the first known outbreak of Bundibugyo ebolavirus in the region since 2012. WHO is supporting local health authorities with surveillance, contact tracing, and community engagement."
