"The WHO has declared the Ebola outbreak in DR Congo's Ituri province, caused by the Bundibugyo virus, a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC). The outbreak has around 246 suspected cases and 80 deaths, with eight lab-confirmed cases. The virus has spread to Uganda and the city of Goma. No approved vaccines or treatments exist for this strain. The WHO advises against travel or trade restrictions."
