"On 28 May 2026, WHO experts recommended candidate therapeutics (MBP134, Maftivimab, remdesivir) and vaccines (rVSV Bundibugyo, ChAdOx1 Bundibugyo) for clinical trials against Bundibugyo virus disease. In Mongbwalu, DRC, 39 deaths and 84 suspected cases were reported; healthcare is strained with community resistance. A Kenyan court suspended a US plan for an Ebola quarantine facility."
