"The CDC, effective May 18, 2026, issued an order restricting entry of non-U.S. citizens who have been in DRC, Uganda, or South Sudan within the past 21 days. As of May 22, this also applies to lawful permanent residents. Travelers allowed entry undergo enhanced public health screening at four designated airports: Washington-Dulles, Atlanta, Houston, and New York-JFK. Screening includes temperature checks, symptom questionnaires, and contact information collection. All travelers are advised to monitor for symptoms for 21 days and report any illness. The order is initially for 30 days."
