"The WHO has prioritized three experimental therapies (MBP134, maftivimab, remdesivir) for the Bundibugyo Ebola strain, as no licensed treatments exist. Urgent clinical trials are recommended amid an outbreak in the DRC and Uganda. Maftivimab is already available in the DRC. For post-exposure prophylaxis, obeldesivir is suggested, dependent on contact tracing. Vaccine candidates include rVSV Bundibugyo (7–9 months away) and ChAdOx1 Bundibugyo (2–3 months). Ervebo is not recommended outside research settings."
