"The WHO has declared the Ebola outbreak in DR Congo a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. The outbreak is caused by the rare Bundibugyo virus species, for which no approved vaccine exists. Over 900 suspected cases and at least 220 deaths have been reported in DR Congo, with cases also in Uganda. The outbreak is complicated by ongoing conflict, displacement, and community mistrust."
