"MSF has described the rapid spread of Ebola in the Democratic Republic of Congo as 'deeply alarming'. Two weeks after the outbreak declaration, over 1,000 suspected cases and at least 246 deaths have been reported in DRC, with nine confirmed cases and one death in Uganda. MSF says the response has not caught up with the outbreak, citing hundreds of untested samples and border closures. WHO chief Tedros visited the hardest-hit Ituri province. The rare Bundibugyo strain has no proven vaccine. Brazil is investigating a suspected case in a returnee from DRC."
