"Scientists at Oxford University are developing a vaccine using the ChAdOx1 platform against the rare Bundibugyo Ebola species, which has no proven vaccine and kills about a third of those infected. The outbreak in DR Congo has 750 suspected cases and 177 deaths, and WHO has raised the risk to 'very high' in the country. The vaccine could be ready for clinical trials in two to three months, with the Serum Institute of India set for mass production. Animal testing is under way. Another experimental vaccine is also in development but will take longer."
