"The U.S. CDC issued an interim final rule amending Foreign Quarantine Regulations to allow the HHS Secretary to suspend entry of persons (including lawful permanent residents) from countries with the 2026 Bundibugyo virus Ebola outbreak. The rule takes effect May 22, 2026, for up to 6 months, and responds to the WHO-declared PHEIC in DRC, Uganda, and South Sudan. U.S. citizens and nationals are exempt."
